Terms of Service
Last updated: October 14, 2026
These terms govern your use of Surplyst. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organisation you represent. Questions: contact@surplyst.com.
The service
Surplyst provides surplus lines market intelligence derived from publicly available reports. Coverage grows as sources are reviewed and validated, and features marked “coming soon” are not yet available.
Accounts
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email account secure, because sign-in links are sent there. The person who creates an organisation is its owner and manages billing.
Subscriptions and billing
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. The Trial Pass is a one-time payment and does not renew.
- You can cancel at any time from Manage billing. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
- Plan changes take effect straight away and the difference is prorated. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price change for an existing subscription.
Permitted use of the data
- You may use Surplyst data for your organisation's internal business purposes.
- You may not resell, redistribute, or publish Surplyst data, or make it available to third parties, except under an Enterprise data licence.
- You may not scrape the service, share accounts outside your organisation, or attempt to bypass security or usage limits.
Data accuracy
Figures are derived from third-party public reports and are shown with their source, report period, and confidence information. Sources can be late, incomplete, or later corrected by their publishers. The data is provided for information and is not insurance, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for decisions you make using it.
Availability
We work to keep Surplyst available and accurate, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Surplyst's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim, and Surplyst is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Termination
You can stop using Surplyst at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, after notice where practical.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to account owners by email before they take effect.
