Surplyst tracks surplus lines carrier premium and market share by state and line of business for wholesale brokers and MGAs, from public state filings.
What we do
Every state that regulates surplus lines insurance publishes some figures: total premium, carrier rankings, premium by line of business. They come as PDFs and web pages in a different format in every state, so most teams rebuild the same spreadsheet by hand every month. Surplyst collects those public reports, checks each one against its own totals, matches carrier names across states, and turns them into one clean, versioned feed.

- AI only on real numbers: AI market briefs, plain-English questions and alerts are written from the figures in the database, never invented.
Who we are
Surplyst was founded in 2026 by Rivac AI Labs, an independent AI and data engineering team. Surplyst is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any insurance broker, MGA, or carrier — it's an independent data provider, so there's no conflict of interest in the numbers you see.
